Welcome to Linlithgow Wines.
As a wine import business located in Linlithgow, Scotland, we offer the U.K. a variety of French wines imported directly from small family run vineyards, mostly in the southern wine producing regions.
Linlithgow Wines was created in 2001, turning a life-long hobby into a business. Frustrated that the U.K. wine market offered French wine that was either non-descript and produced in industrial quantities, or top named Chateaux priced for City bankers, our aim has been to offer small production, hand-made wines, full of character and taste, which also give great value for money.
Having started with the producers of the southern regions of Provence, the Languedoc and Roussillon, we intended to extend to other regions. However we found in the south of France such variety and value, and such dynamism and enthusiasm from the producers, that we have lingered longer than we had intended – and have enjoyed every minute of it.
We have however maintained our ethos by offering some Bordeaux, Champagne, and Chablis from small, family-run vineyards. One day, other French regional wines will follow.
